Get a Custom Ice Cream To Go With Your Favorite Film

The term "Netflix and chill" has been around for quite a while, but this might be the first time an ice cream has been made that originates from the phrase.

It takes the adored activity of "Netflix and chill" to the next level.

Really, Really Chilled

Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerry posted a picture of the two types of their new ice cream, Netflix & Chilll'd, theatrically describing them as:

"With the perfect mix of peanut butter intrigue, pretzel drama, and fudge brownie belly laughs, NEW Netflix & Chilll’d™ pairs well with any of your Netflix programming.

Find it near you soon at the link in our bio!"

Notice the three "l"s in "Chilll."

popculture describes it this way: "The new flavor starts with a base of peanut butter ice cream and is combined with sweet and salty pretzel swirls and fudge brownie."

There's also a non-dairy option; hopefully all the salty pretzel swirls and fudge brownie pieces remain intact for that version.

Most Movies Do Benefit From a Mix Of Sweet and Salty

Ben & Jerry's hopes the "Netflix & Chilll'd" flavor appeals to the sweet and salty crew:

"There's something for everyone to watch on Netflix & flavors for everyone to enjoy from Ben & Jerry's, so we've teamed up to bring you a chillaxing new creation that’s certain to satisfy any sweet or salty snack craving. It’s a flavorful world, and everyone is invited to grab a spoon."

All Hail the New Ben & Jerry's Flavor

Their Instagram also included a little commercial video for the new flavor, saying "Get ready for a brand-new addition to the Netflix Originals you know and love: ice cream," and calling it Ben & Jerry's "first Netflix original flavor."

It's all clearly a marketing ploy, but it's Ben & Jerry's ice cream, so basically you can't go wrong.

Did they really need to come up with a new flavor like this to get us to eat their ice cream? Probably not, but it never hurts to try out a brand-new taste.

Sounds Great. Now Let's Netflix and Chill

Ben & Jerry's is taking their partnership with Netflix one step further, including a quiz on their site to help you choose which ice cream will match the show you want to watch.

Questions in the quiz include how you eat your ice cream, who you're enjoying your ice cream with, your favorite ice cream topping, etc.

For example, an answer for someone who likes to eat all the ice cream by himself or herself who also likes to watch comedies would pair Ben & Jerry's "Half Baked" ice cream with episodes of "Arrested Development."
