Former “Basketball Wives” star Mehgan James is ready to take legal action against the Lyft driver who allegedly attacked her and left her stranded on the side of the freeway.

The reality star shared an update on the situation writing, “Thanks everyone who reached out to me & out to @lyft on behalf of me. I appreciate!”

She added, “The situation with their driver has been handled & my attorney is dealing with it. The experience in general was very traumatic but I’m okay. Also after tonight, ima only be available on my la line for at least a week. So if I don’t respond don’t take it personal. It’s sad to say that it took an experience like this to see who really FWM. Everything happens for a reason.”

As The Blast previously reported, earlier this week, Mehgan said she had a horrible experience after getting into a Lyft. The reality star posted a lengthy video on social media captioned, “Just got attacked by a @lyft driver.”

In the video, Mehgan said once the Lyft driver picked her up he immediately told her his father passed away from Covid. Mehgan said all the windows were down on the freeway while she was wearing a hoodie. She said it was hot in the car and she decided to roll her window up. The driver said “no” and rolled up her window back down.

Later, she says eventually she rolled up her window. She claims the driver said “oh, you think I’m playing” and decided to swerve his car across the freeway to the other side. She says he took her bags from the trunk and threw them out. She claims he forcibly grabbed her and dragged her out of the car. The reality star said he left her on the side of the 405 freeway.

Luckily, Mehgan said a family picked her up on the side of the road and she made it home.

She added, “Hey you guys so I just got physically attacked by a @lyft driver named Sergio ! Luckily @courtneymanatee ‘s family whom where strangers Until now picked me up on the 405 and brought me home safely ! Mind you @lapdhq has refused to come to my house for me to file a police report . They said since it’s not an emergency that I should come file the report during business hours . Ima upload sergios license plates and picture on the next slide and I Really don’t feel safe Bc he now has my address ! But anyway #protectblackwomen . And if I haven’t heard from you don’t reach out to me I’m good.”
