Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson Reunite for OG 'Star Is Born' Song

By Gary Trock

Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson were the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper of 1976, and reminded everyone about their version of "A Star Is Born" with one of the classic tunes.

Streisand was headlining Sunday's British Summer Time Hyde Park concert when the reunion went down.

She announced Kristofferson to the stage as "One of my leading favorite men," and the two began singing "Lost Inside of You," from the 1976 version of "A Star Is Born."

83-year-old Kristofferson's voice cracked as he began, but Streisand did most of the heavy lifting and got the two through the song.

"A Star Is Born" was actually a 1976 remake of a 1937 film starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March.

The movie also starred Gary Busey and Tony Orlando.

Much like Lady Gaga with "Shallow," Streisand wrote two original tracks for the '76 film, "Lost Inside of You" and "Evergreen."

Kristofferson wasn't the only celebrity brought on stage, as Streisand also brought up Lionel Richie for a rendition of "The Way We Were."

Streisand, who had her own tea service set up during the performance, was the latest star to headline the festival, after Celine Dion and Stevie Wonder.

As we reported, during Stevie Wonder's set he announced to the crowd that he would be going under the knife for kidney transplant surgery.

Wonder told the stunned audience on Saturday night, "I'm all good, I'm all good," but wanted people to hear the news directly from him.

He also said the surgery is scheduled for September, and he has already found a donor.
