Azealia Banks posted a series of troubling message on social media about an alleged rape before she eventually deleted them and said everything was "under control."
The rapper began with a post on her Instagram story that read "lowkey just got raped. I feel like dirt." She followed it up with several audio messages detailing the incident.
At one point, Banks says, "This rape s**t, you know. Men can just prey on you and just f**king badger you and force you to say ‘yes’ ... You feel like you gave consent, but you didn’t give s**t. You never wanted to do s**t, but there you are, feeling f**king powerless. Somebody really got the f**king best of me, and I’m just so unsure how they got it."
Someone downloaded the messages and posted them on YouTube. You can listen to them below, but be warned — some people may find them upsetting.
Banks eventually updated her social media accounts making only slight reference to what she had posted earlier, saying things were now "under control."
The Blast reached out to a rep for Banks — so far, no word back.
