While no one took issue with her breastfeeding coverage in the beginning, many critiqued her after she continued to post revealing shots. Some even wondered if she was "desperate for attention" after the model fed her son at a restaurant while drinking coffee and joked, "☕️&?." As The Blast reported, Ashley Graham and her husband of nearly a decade welcomed their first child together on January 18 but waited to share the news for weeks and revealed it was an at-home birth.

Introducing Isaac to the world in two black and white photos showing their newborn grabbing on to each of his parents' fingers, Ashley Graham explained the love she felt immediately after giving birth naturally at home. "At 6:00PM on 01/18/2020, we welcomed 7lbs 5oz of love into our world,” she captioned the two snaps. “Meeting our son has made our hearts incredibly full and we can’t wait to introduce him to you." Days before, she had her husband and son on her podcast as her special guests and almost broke down when describing the moment Justin Ervin helped her through the birth when she wanted to give up. "Seeing you with tears in your eyes and saying 'I can see his head,' gave me so much strength to just push him out. I really needed that," she said with tears in her eyes while adding that giving birth is "magical" but "intense."
