“I don’t push it because I know it’s going to happen eventually. It’s up to Chris and her when they want to do that,” Arnold said. “I’m looking forward to it, yes.”
Schwarzenegger made a point to say how proud he is of all his children, especially Katherine for all the work she does with animals. He is the father of five, Katherine, 30, Christina, 28, Patrick, 26, Christopher, 22, and Joseph, 22.
“All my kids are doing something that is really of importance,” the 72-year-old boasted. “They don’t take their position or who they are the children of, you know, kind of for granted. They work hard themselves, they educate themselves pretty well so my wife and I, we are very very proud of our kids.”
While they will not be receiving any pressure from pops, a source told PEOPLE at the time of their wedding that they want to “expand their family as soon as possible.” The duo tied the knot in June of last year after a year of bonding together and with Pratt’s son, Jack. In fact, PEOPLE‘s source said in January that the 7-year-old tagged along on their early dates.
“Instead of mostly enjoying solo, romantic dates, Chris’ son from early on was a very big part of their dating life,” the source said. “Katherine is like a big kid and loves doing activities with Jack. She loves that Chris is a dad.”
Arnold previously revealed that he gets along with Chris really well but before he gave his blessing for the marriage, he had to get to know Pratt the only way he knows how… in the gym. He told Jimmy Kimmel that he needed to see if Chris could hold his own in the weight room.
“Of course, the first thing when we met, he says, ‘Can we have a workout together? I need to have the inside scoop to the pumping iron,’ ” Arnold joked on Kimmel’s show. “Pumping iron was the decision-making factor, absolutely. We were in the gym, that was it.”
Cheers to one strong family.
