Ariel Winter is sharing her first-ever photo snapped with her boyfriend of three months, Luke Benward. The "Modern Family" star showcased the intimate shot while participating in the viral trend dubbed #FirstPhotoChallenge on Monday. Taking to her Instagram Story to post their very first shot together, Ariel Winter can be seen fully engulfed in the "Dumplin'" actor's embrace. Despite this being their first photo, the duo sure look happy in love. After a month of rumors, Ariel Winter confirmed she was dating Luke Benward in February, when they made their first public appearance as a couple.
In the adorable black and white snap, she's seen gazing into his eyes while he looks down smiling at her. Ariel Winter is wearing a tiny black dress and Luke Benward's hand is placed on her back. Her hair is dark so this was taken prior to her strawberry blonde dye job nearly two months ago. Giving fans context behind the photo, the actress wrote, "Even though we've been friends for 4 years...this is the first photo I could find of just us two aside from a paparazzi photo." She continued that "this will have to do for his challenge," adding it was "taken sneakily" by one of her friends.
Fans found Ariel Winter's union with Luke Benward quite shocking, especially since the "Modern Family" star had just called it quits with her ex, Levi Meaden, months prior. She dated Meaden for three years before revealing the breakup in October 2019. The actress had no problem making her relationship official while posing for cameras with Luke during the screening of Forest Whitaker's movie "Burden" months later. Busting on a busty display in a satin forest green gown, she was photographed with her hands all over her new beau. Luke Benward is known for his roles in "How to Eat Fried Worms," "We Are Soldiers," and "Dear John."
When relationship rumors first began swirling earlier this year, a source told Us Weekly that the duo planned to keep their dating life private. “Ariel is really happy with Luke and thinks he is a great match for her,” the insider said. “She loves his energy and charisma and feels very comfortable around him. Ariel is trying to keep her relationship with Luke somewhat private and isn’t telling a ton of people that they’re dating, but they are.” Months later, they have never looked happier.
