Hollywood Super Agent Ari Emanuel Files for Divorce From Longtime Wife

Ari Emanuel has split with his wife of over 20 years and filed for divorce, and unlike some of the Hollywood talent Emanuel represents, his own divorce appears to be quite amicable.

The co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor filed to end his marriage against Sarah Addington, his longtime wife. Emanuel is not blindsiding his wife with the filing, because his wife prepared and filed her response on same day as her husband.

According to the documents filed Friday by super celebrity attorney Laura Wasser in Los Angeles County Court, Emanuel listed "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, and is requesting joint custody of their one minor child. They have two other children over the age of 18.

It also turns out that Ari, who is the inspiration behind Jeremy Piven's Ari Gold on "Entourage" and brother of politician Rahm Emanuel, and Sarah have been separated for over two years, which our sources say was well known throughout the elite Hollywood crowd. The documents say the couple split in September of 2014. His wife is asking for child support for their son.

The move by the Emanuels is similar to the Chris Pratt / Anna Fariscoordinated divorce filings, and appears to show the breakup is non-hostile and that the estranged couple is being cooperative.
