Hollywood Agent Ari Emanuel Strikes Tax-Deductible Spousal Support Settlement

Ari Emanuel has made quick work of his divorce and scored a sweet deal when it comes to his spousal support payments.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Emanuel and his ex, Sarah Emanuel, agreed to their divorce judgment last year and filed it with the course earlier this month.

The deal calls for Ari to pay Sarah spousal support but states that Ari's spousal support payment shall be tax-deductible for him and taxable to Sarah.

It seems Ari is paying more in spousal support to include this provision because the docs state, "The parties acknowledge and agree that the provision of their Judgment permitting Petitioner to deduct spousal support on his income tax returned was integral to their settlement, and that without said provision, the parties would not have agreed to the amount of spousal support set forth in the Judgment."

If for some reason Ari Emanuel cannot deduct the spousal support payments from his taxes, the deal calls for the two sides to re-negotiate the spousal support payments.

As The Blast first reported, Ari filed for divorce on November 30 after 18 years of marriage.
