Aretha Franklin’s sister-in-law is demanding the late singer’s estate pay her $43,000, for taking care of the singer in the months before her death.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Earline Franklin has filed a claim against Aretha’s estate seeking to be paid for “caregiver” services for the months of April through August 2018.
Aretha passed away on August 16, 2018. Earline was married to the singer’s brother Cecil Franklin.
The claim is seeking $16,740 (April), $17,298 (May), $16,470 (June), $17,298 (July) and $4,464 (August). She is also asking for $5,000 for “Return of Air Force Military Flag”.
Earline wants the bill paid immediately and in full. The estate is currently going through many disputes.
