Aretha Franklin’s house in Bloomfield Township is for sale and you can own the late singer’s digs for a cool $1.2 million.
The iconic soul singer, who passed away last year at the age of 76, had not lived in the home for decades, according to reports. But the gated community abode is now up for grabs.
In an online listing for the home, the real estate company advertises “Once In A Lifetime Opportunity! This Newly Renovated Estate Home was Once Home to The Legendary Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.”
What does this sprawling piece of music history include? For one, you have a pristine location in the “Hill of Lone Pine” gated community. And a welcoming brick and stone entrance to the home itself.
The entry-way houses a beautiful chandelier piece and opens into the living room area.
According to reports, the red piano was moved from her Detroit home to this current listing. Accompanying the piano itself is a framed photograph of the iconic singer, along with what looks like sheet music in a frame next to it.
The dining area of the house opens up to the kitchen, which houses an island and black and white flooring.
From what can be seen in the photos, the kitchen doors open up to a sprawling backyard that has a pond, and can overlook the common pool for the community.
One of the five bedrooms has wooden floors and a massive closet for storage.
In addition to the sprawling bedrooms, the bathrooms provide ample space and options—the house comes with six bathrooms!
Sprawling walkways are through the home, and also what looks like some nice plush grey carpeting.
Want to relax on the lower floor of the home? Well, apparently you can with the open area den-type room. It looks cozy and enough for a nice party or a quiet movie night.
Another bathroom is shown that has ample counter space, along with what appears to be a sauna room, and yet another huge bedroom—this one with a large mirror and vanity built-in.
And if the inside digs weren’t enough, the outside of the home has a gigantic yard and access via a quaint walkway.
You definitely have to show some R-E-S-P-E-C-T for this listing.
