"America's Got Talent" handed out its first golden buzzer to a talented pianist who also happens to be blind and autistic, and the guy has been crushing performances for some time.

Gabrielle Union awarded the prestigious honor to 22-year-old Kodi Lee, who was accompanied onstage by his mother, Tina, for a pep talk before his performance.

"I realized he's an entertainer. Through music and performing, he was able to withstand living in this world because when you're autistic, it's really hard to do what everybody else does. It actually has saved his life playing music," Tina told the judges.
