Amber Rose said her drastic decision to tattoo her forehead was inspired by the death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

The model/influencer appeared on the show, 'One on One with Keyshia Cole' to explain why she chose her forehead for the new ink.

As you know, Amber tattooed the phrase, 'Bash Slash" on her forehead with week, which is devoted to her sons Sebastian Tayler (Bash) and Electric Alexander Edwards (Slash).

"I don't want this to sound corny or anything but kinda after Kobe died, it made me reflect on my life," she said during the interview.

She continued, "I don't want people to be like, 'Oh Kobe died and you went and got a tattoo,' but it was kinda like that."

Amber went on to explains her father fought cancer when he was only 40-years-old and she realized how short life can be cut short, saying, "He went through remission and he's good now but he almost died."

Rose did reveal to Cole how she has been wanting to get this tattoo for some time and after Kobe died in the tragic helicopter accident, it just felt like the right time.

"I've been wanting this tattoo for a long time and I was like, 'You know what, life is so short just do it. Just live your best life,'" she said.

In the end, she made a point to say she has no regrets about inking her forehead, saying, "This is how I felt and I'm happy I did it."

Amber's face ink had mixed reactions in the media and in the public. Wendy Williams was very vocal on her talk show about the decision to put it in that location.

"Amber, you know I love you girl, but why would you ruin your forehead?" Wendy said on her show.

Jokingly the host added, "get one of those Anna Wintour wigs and cover all that real quick."

Amber responded to the criticism with a message on Instagram, which didn't specifically call out Williams, but spoke to any haters talking badly about the new tattoo.

"For the people that are telling me I'm too pretty for a face tat are the same people that would tell me I'm "too pretty" even if they thought I was ugly and lie to me Lol Or they would just tell me I'm ugly. so either way The moral of the story is to do whatever the f*** you want in life," she wrote.

Amber [posted several photos of herself posing with her new ink]( with the caption, "Beauty is not what’s on the outside.... it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Inside of my P**** and inside of my heart."
