Amber Heard was the 'antagonizer' in the relationship with Johnny Depp, and often drank a bottle or two of wine a night -- according to the couple's ex-butler who just testified in the actor's ongoing libel trial in the UK.

According to multiple reports, the 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' stars ex-butler, Ben King, testified he saw Amber Heard as an 'antagonizer' in the relationship and said often times Johnny Depp would 'walk away' from bad situations.

The ex-butler, who worked in the couple's London, Australia, and Vancouver homes -- provided a written statement ahead of his taking the stand in the trial in which he claimed he witnessed Amber often 'provoke' Johnny Depp into arguments.

“I frequently witnessed Ms. Heard goading and attempting to provoke Mr. Depp. I never witnessed Mr. Depp be violent or unkind towards Ms. Heard or indeed anyone else," King said.

He continued, “In hindsight, during the month in London, and thereafter during my time in Australia, I saw Ms Heard as the antagoniser. Mr Depp seemed keen to walk out of, or away from, arguments. It appeared it was Ms Heard who would want to continue them and pursue him to do so.”

The ex-butler also discussed the couple's drinking and drug use and detailed what he witnessed while cleaning up for them around the house.

The ex-butler claims when he interviewed for the job he was told Johnny Depp was a teetotaler, having been a drinker in the past.

He told the court the only drug he witnessed Johnny Depp consume in cannabis. “He seemed to smoke cannabis sometimes around the house,” King said. Adding, the actor “is always polite”.

“It was Ms Heard who was drinking the wine,” King testified.

He continued, “I believe she would regularly drink at least one or two bottles a night. I made a tally of the bottles of wine left on the counter or in the bins when I arrived each morning. I was usually the first one there. I would often see Ms. Heard drinking wine.”

Ben King was also present during a trip to Australia where the court has head details of explosive arguments where each of the two claims the other was assaultive.

King testified the 'Aquaman' star would “harangue Mr. Depp during the arguments, which seemed worse than they had been in London."

According to reports, he claimed on the flight back from Australia, “I did notice on one arm that she had a couple of marks which … looked like cuts in fairly uniform lines at a sort of diagonal angle downwards."

He contiuned, “I recall saying to her when we landed [in Los Angeles] that she may want to put her sleeve down as there might be paparazzi in the airport ... She did not refuse but she chose not to.”
