Amanda Bynes left a sober living facility in California earlier this month, and on Monday she shared her first new Instagram photo of herself since before she entered the facility.
She shared a selfie on the social media platform in which she’s sitting on a couch with a Christmas tree behind her. It seems normal enough, except for one small change: she has a tattoo of a heart on her face.
The comments of the post were closed, but fans used Twitter to share their thoughts on the new face ink.
“Is Amanda Bynes okay? I ask because she got a messed up heart tattoo on her face and that’s usually the first cry for help,” one concerned fan wrote.
“I love Amanda Bynes, I really hope she didn’t ruin her beautiful face with this tattoo,” another said.
“The decade couldn’t be over without Amanda Bynes joining Aaron Carter In getting a face tattoo this year. What did Nickelodeon and Disney do to these kids?” someone else asked.
After she left the facility, a source told E! News that she is “not doing drugs again” and is “doing better now.”
“In court her parents were reassured that she’s doing well and okay and that everything is back on track,” the source continued. “She may not go back [to the facility], but again, she’s not doing drugs and mentally and physically she’s okay. She does not have to go back but it’s unclear what’s going to happen.”
Bynes is reportedly living at home with her parents while seeking someone of her own. From Entertainment Tonight:
A source tells ET that Bynes is currently living with her parents while she looks for her own home.
According to the source, Bynes — as well as her parents and their conservatorship attorney — were in a Ventura County courtroom on Thursday afternoon where they met with a judge to make sure it was acceptable that Bynes live on her own now that she is out of the sober living facility.
ET has learned that a discussion of Bynes’ alternative living arrangements and how they will work out were discussed during the court hearing.
Earlier this year, Bynes entered a mental health facility, which her lawyer confirmed in April:
“I will tell you she’s doing remarkably well under the circumstances. This time around she realized herself after the recent PAPER Magazine interview and spread that she really wasn’t feeling like herself all of [a] sudden and that she wanted to address that. She wanted to address it right away before going back into show business and exploring show business again,” Arminak told Access Hollywood. “And it was her decision and her choice to address the situation, seek treatment which I think is an incredibly mature way of handling this type of thing.”
