Amanda Bynes will remain under a conservatorship for at least two more years as her family continues to follow the Britney Spears plan: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

According to our sources, documents were filed last week extending Bynes' conservatorship until August 2020. We're told Bynes is doing great and there is no need to change anything.

Bynes regained control over her finances last year; Bynes' mother, Lynn, is conservator over her "person," meaning she makes decisions about her health and medical issues.

Much like Spears, who has been under a conservatorship for nearly a decade, our sources say Bynes' family doesn't feel the need to rock the boat.

She is currently living on her own in Encino, CA and on track to graduate fashion school in December. We're told she has been designing clothes and hopes to make a deal to sell her work in the near future.

Bynes has remained largely out of the public eye the last few years. Her last acting credit was in the 2010 Emma Stone comedy, "Easy A."
