The popular kids' book series is getting its own TV show.

Netflix announced that its contemporary take on the books will star Alicia Silverstone. She will be joined on screen by Mark Feuerstein.

The series will be 10, 30-minute episodes that will put a modern spin on the Ann M. Martin's best-selling book series. It follows the babysitting adventures of five teens -- Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill and Dawn Schafer. Silverstone plays the mother of one of them, with Feuerstein being her love interest.

There's no word on a release date yet, but filming is already underway in Vancouver.

Silverstone is best known for her role in the '90s hit film Clueless, but has a long list of acting credits to her name.

Fans will recognize Feuerstein from USA Network's "Royal Pains."
