Social media is understandably outraged after a picture posted by W magazine with Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid and Alex Wek only identified the first two and omitted Wek's name.

Glaring Omission

W magazine was promoting its story about Off-White's spring and summer collection at Paris Fashion Week when it included a picture of the two Hadids and Wek backstage. The social media page originally tweeted:

"@GigiHadid and @BellaHadid were pretty in pink at @OffWht Spring/Summer 2020."

Social media came out in full force over the mistake:

"Hope the person that writes their social media posts got fired for this oversight. Pigment shouldn’t define beauty and W Magazine initially shouted out the two white people in this photo, completely forgetting to include the beauty in the middle," wrote Momonek09368753.

We Still Saw It

The magazine later fixed the situation and deleted the original post, but fans made sure to let them know they didn't forget.

"Lol now they want to tag her," said @Ambrosiafye1.

"Wmag does stand for white magazine," tweeted @DAhoodsFavorite.

"Thank you for recognizing Alek Wek after your original mistake. Check twice post once in future. #WhitePrivilege," wrote @ItsJennyJ.
