There are reasons that talent shows employ professional judges despite America having the final vote and one of those reasons was clearly evident in Wednesday night’s “America’s Got Talent" quarterfinals results show.

Host Terry Crews immediately shocked the audience right out of the gate when he announced the bottom three acts that received the least amounts of votes from America: comedian Jackie Fabulous, dog act Lukas & Falco and virtuoso guitarist, Marcin Patrzalek.

All three were trying to receive the Dunkin’ Save as a last ditch effort to move forward to the semi-finals.

From the moment Crews read Patrzalek’s name, it was clear that America was on the verge of making a huge mistake.

Professional judge Howie Mandel made a comment about how shocked he was that one of the acts was even close to being sent home but did not name who he was referring too.

By the end of the results, it would become obvious that Howie was talking about Marcin.

Long story short, the guitarist DID NOT WIN the Dunkin’ Save and instead America selected Jackie Fabulous to move on.

Fabulous is a phenomenal performer and obviously deserves to move on but it is very hard to imagine that an amazing talent like Patrzalek would lose out to a guy who has his dog skip rope with him.

Lukas & Falco are cute and awesome, but this is “AGT,” which has become one of the biggest platforms in the world to showcase true talent.

That’s when the professional judges saved America from making one of the biggest mistakes in “AGT” history.

Gabrielle Union referred to Marcin as a “once in a lifetime, once in a generation talent” and all the other judges agreed.

Marcin’s quarterfinal performance was a little lack luster and Simon Cowell said it was a bad song choice but his skill and ability to make a simple guitar sound like a brand new instrument should be in the running to win the whole contest.

Marcin Patrzalek is an 18-year-old Polish guitarist, composer and producer and is known for combining fingerstyle percussive guitar techniques.

He’s received high praise from all the judges including the hard to impress Simon when he performed Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and the heavy metal song “Toxicity” for his audition.

He is considered by many to be a frontrunner to win this year’s “AGT.”
