Fans aren't happy with Aaron Carter after the singer videotaped himself putting on a thick Asain accent when trying to order Chinese food. The "Hard To LøVë" singer is facing backlash after he jumped on the phone and recorded his conversation with the restaurant employee as his friends chuckled in the background on Monday night. Backstreet Boy Nick Carter's little brother shared the video on Instagram with the caption, "When your friends can't order Chinese food chicken in NYC AND you have to SHOW THEM YOURE cultural status." He then used the hashtag "satire," but no one thought it was funny. "It sounds like you're trying to do an Asian accent which is really racist and offensive. If you think you're trying to be funny or night no offense but dial it back a little bit," one fan responded to the footage. "That's not even any language you're just mocking his accent you racist fool," wrote another. "That's severely racist, dude," said a third.

Other followers warned him that he's going to lose a lot of fans over this. "You're gonna get cancelled for this," one fan wrote while adding a sad emoji. "It would be in your best interest to delete this," warned another. "U r cancelled omg," stated someone else. Another follower foreshadowed this video being an issue by writing, "This isn't going to end well ..." While the majority of Aaron Carter's followers are angry over what they say is racial appropriation, some are jumping to the singer's defence.

"My mom always told me to talk to foreigners like this I feel you," one person wrote. "She says they understand broken English better." Another fan commented, "He is not being racist, just trying to make people comfortable. If you [sic] makes you uncomfortable, you are racist." Aaron Carter issued his own statement on the matter. "Americans are weird. Have human and f--- off," he responded to the haters.

This comes just weeks after Aaron Carter announced that he was taking a break from social media after fans questioned his mental health following a string of events including getting a giant tattoo of Medusa on his face. Fans were already worried about the singer's mental state after he publicly accused his older brother of abuse and sexual assault. As The Blast reported, the Backstreet Boy later got a restraining order against Aaron Carter claiming his brother hears "voices in his head." In the documents, Nick Carter stated that Aaron allegedly threatened to kill Nick's then-pregnant wife. He also claimed that Aaron is mentally ill and may cause harm to the family.

"My brother, Aaron Carter, has exhibited increasingly unstable behaviors and recently admitted to having schizophrenia with multiple other mental disorders. Most recently, Aaron informed my sister Angel that he thinks about killing babies and has thought about killing my wife, Lauren. Lauren is now pregnant, and I fear for our unborn child. Aaron is known to keep firearms readily available. I need an injunction because I fear for my safety, the safety of my wife and children, and the safety of m wife's parents. I am afraid he will listen to the voices in his head and cause harm to my family," Nick said. Days later, their sister, Angel Carter, also asked a judge in Los Angeles County Court to protect her from Aaron.
