A$AP Rocky is a free man, for the time-being, as he was released from a Swedish jail on Friday until a ruling is reached in his trial.

The judge in his case announced the defendants can be released until a verdict is handed down on August 14. A$AP does not have to remain in Sweden until then.

According to local reports, the audience cheered as the decision was handed down and A$AP and the other defendants hugged each other upon hearing the news.

A$AP's mom, Renee Black, was quoted as saying, "There is a God."

President Donald Trump, who tried to intervene in the case, tweeted after the news of A$AP's release came down.

Trump tweeted, "A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!"

During closing arguments on Friday, Swedish prosecutors asked for A$AP Rocky to serve six months behind bars for his role in a June brawl that took place in Stockholm.

Daniel Suneson argued that A$AP should be sentenced harsher than the other defendants. Suneson said, "I don't think anything other than jail is possible."

He also believed, during the course of the three-day trial, that he disproved A$AP's assertion that he acted in self-defense.

"It cannot have been self-defense," he argued, "as they were five against two."

Earlier in the day, a woman testified that she did not actually see A$AP Rocky hit the alleged victim with a bottle, which differs from the account she initially told police.

The woman — who testified anonymously via video link — said she was eating with a friend when she spotted A$AP and his entourage outside. She said she and her friend rushed outside to get a photo with him but by that point, the fight with the alleged victim had already begun.
