One of the men accused of murdering XXXTentacion is set to grill the late rapper’s family in an attempt to build his defense.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Michael Boatwright has informed the court of two upcoming depositions in will be taking as part of his criminal case.
The rapper was killed outside Riva Motorsports on June 18, 2018. Boatwright was charged along with Dedrick Williams, Robert Allen and Trayvon Newsome. The four are preparing for their upcoming trial.

Boatwright believes the two have valuable information which could help him fight the murder charges.
Earlier this month, XXXTentacion’s mother and baby mama settled a nasty court battle over custody of the late rapper’s son Gekyume Onfroy.
In court docs, Jenesis explained she lived with XXX and had “sexual relations during the time that Gekyume was conceived from February 19 through June 18 2018, the day of the Decedent’s death.”
The two were fighting for months over his estate. Jenesis fought to obtain a DNA sample of XXXTentacion from the medical examiner to help establish paternity.
Cleopatra objected to the request and demanded the court deny her motion.
The judge eventually sided with Jenesis allowing her to obtain the DNA. According to court records, the two continued fighting over custody and support of Gekyume for months.
They recently reached a confidential settlement that ended their battle. Per their deal, an “Irrevocable Trust for Gekyum Onfroy” was established to benefit XXXTentaction’s son. Cleopatra and Jenesis both presented the deal to the court who signed off on it
