1. Famous Co-Stars

Leonard DiCaprio and Paul Rudd costarred in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet as Romeo and Paris respectively, and during that time DiCaprio booked his iconic role in Titanic. Sure, DiCaprio was on Hollywood's radar by then, but his turn as Jack Dawson was really what elevated his career to the A-list.

2. Friendly Advice

While visiting The Graham Norton Show to promote his new Netflix series Living With Yourself, Rudd explained that he encouraged DiCaprio to take the role. Rudd's father was a professional Titanic expert, so he grew up hearing about the historic event. DiCaprio was unsure about making the jump from indie film to a blockbusters, but Rudd was there to convince him otherwise.

"He was saying, 'Well, I don't know what I'll do.' And I remember saying, 'You should do it.'"

3. Did He Make A Difference?

Do we have America's Sweetheart Paul Rudd to thank for DiCaprio breaking all our hearts as Jack? Probably not, but let's give him the credit anyway.

"I don't think I had any say. But it is kind of interesting to think back on that."

Paul Rudd is the best, so why shouldn't he be responsible for Titanic being the mega hit that it was and forever will be?
