1. The Legacy Of 'Friends'

There are few shows that have had quite the enduring cultural impact of Friends, and the stars are still relatively defined by the work that they did on the iconic sitcom.

While guesting on comedian Kevin Nealon's YouTube show, Hiking With Kevin, Lisa Kudrow opened up about how she struggled with her portrayal of the ditzy but lovable Phoebe Buffay for many years.

2. Struggling To Find Her Character

While Kudrow's comedic touch may have seemed effortlessly amusing onscreen, she really had a hard time nailing down Phoebe in the beginning. She told Nealon:

"I had played dumb girls, for sure, but it wasn’t really me. I feel like, 'Sh*t, I tricked ’em at the audition.' I was the only one who could cope with the audition process and that’s how I got it, I think. So I had to work hard at being Phoebe."

3. She Had A Friend In Matt LeBlanc

Kudrow continued, explaining that co-star Matt LeBlanc was instrumental in her working out her feelings around the role.

"And then, like, third season in, I was struggling so much. And [Matt] LeBlanc was like, 'What's going on with you?' And I said I can't...I don't think I have it. I don't know what I'm doing. And he went, 'You're her. Relax. You've got it. You've been doing this fucking character for three years. You're working too hard. That's your problem. You don't need to work as hard. Relax.' He was right."

Classic Joey, always being there for a friend.

Kudrow went on to garner a Golden Globe nomination and 6 Primetime Emmy nominations (and one win!) for her work on Friends, so it's safe to say that she worked it out.
