Keith Urban is getting into the holiday spirit with a new Christmas song he just released on Thursday called "I'll Be Your Santa Tonight." In the video for the song, the pop-country star is seen playing both the piano and guitar at different points on a set filled with fake snow and Christmas trees.

Near the end, three Urban are all playing at the same time thanks to computer animation.

Urban told that he wrote and recorded the song back in the summer.

"I've got a song coming out called "I'll Be Your Santa Tonight," Urban told the outlet "I wrote it with Shane McAnally, and recorded it with Kevin Kadish and Nathan Chapman. Had a blast doing it. Very strange writing a song in the middle of summer about Christmas."

Fans were delighted by this earlier Christmas present. "Just finished watching. It really put me into the Holiday Feels!!! Love the song and the man!! Thank you for this Xmas gift," one person said.

"Is beautiful! The way of interpreting the song is especially intense and the setting is very romantic. Thanks, Keith for doing something so special for all your fans! I LOVE YOU KEITH," another wrote.

"Love the song and the way you sing it, love the video, it's my new favorite Christmas song," a third replied.

Urban is still working on other, non-holiday music as well. He told that he's thinking of releasing the new music as an EP.

"The advantages of that, I think, for me, I love the idea of an EP, where you can savor the songs, and not just throw 18 songs at someone," Urban explained. "And, because too many songs get missed. The people don't realize, it's a really good song, that track 13 is awesome, but no one's going to get to it.

"So I'm a bit of a fan of the EP. But at the same time I love people having a lot of music to be able to enjoy as well. So I think it's, there's not one size fits all. That's for sure. And I think it's in this beautiful free fall."

The Aussie singer said that there will be some surprise collaborations on the new record.

"There's a couple of collaborations on there," Urban said. "It's hard to know what ends up making it to an album, versus what might be used in some other way. So I'm just anxious to get new music out, right? You know that feeling."
