A Twist On A Hit

Taylor Swift's singles have been everywhere this year, in particular her love ballad, "Lover."

Another band that is ubiquitous to 2019 is the return of the Jonas Brothers, reemerging on the music scene with a new sound and a more mature vibe.

Swift and Joe Jonas dated forever ago and things ended badly, but it seems like the former couple has moved beyond that bad blood. Jonas even posted a video on Instagram of him modifying Swift's hit to be about his brother, Nick. It's cute!

A Notorious Break Up

Swift and Jonas dated for a few months in 2008 before it ended in a brief phone conversation. Swift even put Jonas on blast while visiting The Ellen Show shortly after the break up, saying that he was the inspiration for the break up anthem "Forever & Always:"

"When I find that person that is right for me he'll be wonderful and when I look at that person, I'm not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18."

Jonas later addressed the accusation, writing on MySpace (LOL):

"For those who have expressed concern over the ’27 second’ phone call, I called to discuss feelings with the other person. Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk."

Swift Eventually Apologized

Swift eventually apologized for dragging him so hard, once again on The Ellen Show during her press tour for Lover. When Ellen asked Swift about any regrets she had about how she conducted herself in public as a teenaged during "Burning Questions," Swift replied:

"Probably when I put Joe Jonas on blast on your show. That was too much. I was 18. We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy. Just some teenage stuff there."

They've Both Moved On

Jonas acknowledged the apology and confirmed that they had all moved on.

"Yeah, I mean, it did feel nice. It’s something that I was probably feeling pretty bad about when I was younger. But at the end of the day, I’ve moved on. I’m sure Taylor’s moved on. And it feels nice. We’re all friends. It’s all good. We were all so young."

Jonas married actress Sophie Turner this year and Swift has been in a serious relationship with actor Joe Alwyn since 2017, so it's safe to say that the bad blood is over.
