HGTV announced on Tuesday morning that they were the mysterious buyer of the famous house on "The Brady Bunch" that swooped in and swiped the home from the clutches of Lance Bass.

The announcement was made by Discovery CEO David Zaslav as part of this morning’s earnings call, reports Deadline.

"You may have heard that the house from the iconic series was recently on the market in California," Zaslav said. "I'm excited to share that HGTV is the winning bidder and will restore the 'Brady Bunch' home to its 1970s glory as only HGTV can."

He continued, "More detail to come over the next few months but we’ll bring all the resources to bear to tell safe, fun stories about this beloved piece of American TV history."

The sale was the stuff controversy over the weekend when the *NSYNC singer announced on Saturday that he won the bidding war for the home ... only to declare that he, in fact, had been outbid.

“Im feeling heartbroken today,” Bass wrote on Sunday. “As many of you may have heard, we placed the winning bid on the iconic Brady Bunch house—at least that’s what we were told.”

Bass explained that the agent representing the estate told him and his team they had made the winning bid after the deadline passed.

He then explained, “This was a dream come true for me and I spent the night celebrating amongst friends, family, and fans alike. The next day, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ the same agent informed us that there’s another Corporate Buyer (Hollywood studio) who wants the house at any cost. We were prepared to go even higher but totally discouraged by the sellers agent, they will outperform any bid with unlimited resources.”

Lance Bass went on to say, “How is this fair or legal?? How can I compete with a billion dollar corporate entity? I truly believe I was used to drive up the price of the home knowing very well that this corporation intended on making their offer and it’s not a good feeling. I feel used but most importantly I’m hurt and saddened by this highly questionable outcome.”

He concluded by saying, “I just hope it is not demolished. Thanks for all the love and support.”
