Bowen Yang recently opened up to the reason behind Pete Davidson's repeated absences from the "Saturday Night Live" show. The feud between Kanye West, Davidson and ex-wife Kim Kardashian doesn't seem like it'll end anytime soon.

Davidson and Kardashian started seeing each other in October last year. After almost six months of dating, the comedian finally referred to her as his girlfriend in an interview with People. Kardashian, on her part, also made a move by posting a series of shots on Instagram with the 28-year-old.

Davidson was noticeably absent from several episodes of "SNL," and his castmate, Bowen Yang, just revealed the reason. The comedian was on leave to conclude his current movie schedule, but Yang said it was a bit more than that. The entire cast of "SNL" is apparently giving the actor some time to himself while dealing with his online feud with West.

With everything happening in his life right now, it's no surprise that "SNL" star Davidson is skipping episodes. Although the absence was traced to his involvement with a new movie project, his cast member on the show just revealed another reason.

During the Critics Choice Award on Sunday, his co-star Bowen Yang told Entertainment Weekly that the entire cast supported "The King of Staten Island" actor. He said they were doing this by giving him as much space as he needed at the moment. He said, "We are supporting him by giving him space. I think he's just, you know, figuring it out because I think a lot is out of his control in terms of people's responses."

The 31-year-old added that he hoped Davidson would find his way through the ongoing feud with West despite the rapper's constant online threats. Yang continued, "I think he's just getting back to his comfort, and I think that's the best thing he can do. We are all thinking about him, and we love him so much."

An alleged text exchange is another drama that sprung up among the Kardashian, West, and Davidson trio. The text messages between Davidson and West were made public recently and showed the "SNL" comedian seemingly bragging about being in bed with the SKIMS founder before sending a picture.

The "Donda" rapper lamented in a video about how Davidson was obviously trying to "antagonize" him and wondered who was currently watching his children.

He said, "At this point, it's going too far. God, please. The boyfriend texts me, antagonizing me, bragging about being in bed with my wife. I'm like, 'Well, who's watching my children if he's texting me, bragging about being in bed with my wife?'"

Dave Sirus Posted More Screenshots Of The Conversation

In support of his friend, Dave Sirus went ahead to share the rest of the screenshots of the exchange. Davidson was shown defending Kardashian to West and then asking West for a private meeting so the two could have a conversation.

The comedian said of Kardashian, "What she does for those kids is amazing, and you're f**ing lucky that she's your kids' mom. I've decided im not gonna let you treat us this way anymore, and I'm done being quiet. Grow the f** up."

The exchange between the duo continued until Davidson tried being more sympathetic to the rapper. He revealed he struggled with mental issues too, and there wasn't any shame in "a little help." Davidson also said that although West was anything but friendly the last couple of months, the comedian still had his back.

The "Suicide Squad" actor said he stopped the cast of "SNL" from using West for fodder for their jokes for months. "I have your back even though you treat me like s*** because I want everything to be smooth. But if you continue to press me like you have for the past 6 months, I'm gonna stop being so nice."

West's Music Video For "Eazy" Showed Davidson Being Buried Alive

West recently released the music video for his popular song, "Eazy," with The Game. The song previously received attention due to some of the lyrics containing threats towards Davidson. It read, "God saved me from that crash/ Just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**."

In the released music video, West played a part in what can only be described as a fantasy for him. The rapper buried a clay version of the "SNL" comedian alive then went ahead to plant some seeds on his head. Roses ended up sprouting and were cut off.

At the end of the video, another disturbing message read, "EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER." The next line read, "EXCEPT SKETE YOU KNOW WHO," then concluded with "JK HE'S FINE." The entire video was understandably upsetting for Kardashian, who, according to People, said the video was "too violent."
