Olympian Bode Miller’s 19-Month-Old Daughter Dies in Drowning Accident

The 19-month-old daughter of Olympic skier Bode Miller died on Sunday after a tragic drowning accident.

The Orange County Coroner’s Office confirmed to The Blast that Emeline Grier Miller passed away on Sunday in a local hospital. They added that an investigation into the death is ongoing.

According to the to Orange County Fire Authority, a 911 call came in at 6:28 PM on Saturday and paramedics rushed to the scene in Coto de Caza, a gated community in Orange County, CA.

We’re told paramedics tried “advanced life support” but were unable to save her.

Bode Miller and his wife, Madison, shared the tragic news on social media, writing, “We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.”

Emeline Grier Miller was born on November 5, 2016. The couple has a son together, Edward Nash Skan Miller, who was born on May 18, 2015.

Miller also has two other children from prior relationships.
