Bebe Rexha is opening up to her fans and explaining that she just learned her emotional rollercoaster of extreme lows and highs can be attributed to bipolar disorder.
"For the longest time, I didn’t understand why I felt so sick," Rexha told her followers Monday afternoon on social media, adding, "I felt lows that made me not want to leave my house or be around people and why I felt highs that wouldn’t let me sleep, wouldn’t let me stop working or creating music. Now I know why."
The "Last Hurrah" singer revealed, "I’m bipolar and I’m not ashamed anymore." She claimed to have been crying her eyes out while making the revelation, but says she will no longer hold anything back and is looking forward to addressing the matter on her next album.
The Grammy nominee has been getting messages of support since revealing the diagnosis, but says, "I don’t want you to feel sorry for me. I just want you to accept me. That’s all. Love you."
A release date for her next album has not yet been announced.
