Ariana Grande Takes Shot At Failed Engagement With Pete Davidson in ‘Thank U, Next’ Teaser

Ariana Grande is poking fun at her failed engagement to Pete Davidson in a newly released teaser for the music video, “Thank U, Next.”

The pop star dropped the 48 second clip on Monday night for the highly-anticipated video, and she delivered in a big way!

Paying homage to the 2004 Blockbuster hit “Mean Girls,” the teaser opens with the famous “Regina George punched me in the face” bit and even featured a few stars from the movie. However, many of the big stars, like Lindsay Lohan, were not included.

Jonathan Bennett (aka Aaron Samuels) has some iconic lines, but nothing, we repeat, nothing tops the part where Stefanie Drummond (aka the girl who actually got punched in the face by Regina George) takes a swipe at Ari’s ex-fiancé.

“Ariana broke off an engagement, so I found a guy to propose to me, and I broke off an engagement,” the actress says. Boom… just like that, Ariana brought it.

The singer has been teasing the music video for the past week with photos showing her as iconic leading ladies from a bunch of famous romantic comedies. Besides “Mean Girls,” the singer has shared looks from “Legally Blonde,” “13 Going on 30” and “Bring It On.”

Hopefully the teaser is an indication that the actual video is going to be full of stars. But, probably not Pete Davidson.
