Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Split Up So She Can 'Work on Herself'

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have called it quits and ended their engagement.

Sources close to the former couple tell The Blast, the split happened in the last few days. We're told Grande has been through a lot the last months and needs time to "work on herself."

The couple first got together in May and announced their engagement a short time later.

Ariana was supposed to perform on Saturday night at the F–ck Cancer Gala at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles but backed out at the last minute. Her manager, Scooter Braun, addressed the audience, reports E! News, and alluded to the breakup.

Braun said, "Someone I'm very close to was supposed to come sing for you today, and because of things that she's going through, she couldn't be here today. And while I was frustrated, being the manager, my wife, being who she always is, just looked at me and she goes, 'She needs this time.'"

Ariana Grande was devastated after the death of her former fiancé, Mac Miller. After a few days, she broke her silence on social media, writing, "I adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this."
