Ariana Grande's '7 Rings' Tattoo Actually Reads 'BBQ Grill'

By TheBlast Staff

Ariana Grande's palm tattoo isn't a tribute to her new single, it's a tribute to good old Japanese BBQ.

The "7 Rings" singer shared a photo of her ink which includes a few Japanese symbols on Tuesday. In the now-deleted post, Ariana said the characters were meant to honor her song.

But fans were quick to point out the spelling mistake with several people revealing the tattoo actually reads “shichirin," which when translated means “BBQ grill."

Ariana acknowledged the error, taking to Twitter to address tattoo-gate.

"Indeed, I left out "つの指" which should have gone in between," she tweeted. "It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. I wouldn't have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won't last so if I miss it enough I'll suffer thru the whole thing next time."

Keeping it light and funny, she added, "Also.... huge fan of tiny bbq grills."

The tattoo artist, Kane Navasard, didn't get the memo before proudly displaying his artwork on IG. "If you didn't know, @arianagrande is a G," he wrote.

Kane has inked Grande in the past tattooing a Pokemon character on the singer.

Thank goodness that didn't include any words!
