Legendary singer Aretha Franklin passed away on Thursday morning and didn’t take long for a slew of celebrities to pay their respects on social media.

A publicist for the legendary singer confirmed Franklin died at her home in Detroit, surrounded by friends and family.
According to the rep, Franklin’s official cause of death was due to advance pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type.
