Former NFL star Antonio Cromartie is being sued for foreclosure over his Florida home after he allegedly stopped making payments on it.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Cromartie bought the Tallahassee, Florida home back in 2006 with his mother Cassandra for $135,000.
The Bank of New York Mellon claims the ex-NFL star has not made a payment on the home since June 2016. They claim Cromartie owes them a total of $83,779.53.
The home is the same property Cromartie battled his mother over in 2016. His mother accused him of trying to evict her after letting her live in the property rent-free for years. He claimed they had a deal for her to live there but she ceased making the monthly payments. The battle ended with his mother putting the home back solely on Cromartie’s name and moving out.
The Bank of New York is seeking to kick Cromartie or other occupants out and for the court to allow them to foreclose on the home and sell it off at public auction.
