“Low plastic stool, cheap but delicious noodles, cold Hanoi beer.” This is how I’ll remember Tony. He taught us about food — but more importantly, about its ability to bring us together. To make us a little less afraid of the unknown. We’ll miss him. pic.twitter.com/orEXIaEMZM

As an author, Bourdain penned several culinary works including his most famous, “Kitchen Confidential,” which continues to serve as a bedrock work for chefs and restaurant professionals. Prior to exploding on the global culinary scene Bourdain was an essayist and wrote a handful of crime novels.
“Your body is not a temple, it’s an amusement park. Enjoy the ride,” Bourdain wrote in “KC.”
The unexpected and tragic loss of Bourdain seems to have inspired his legions of fans to want to enjoy the ride with him just a little bit longer through his visceral love of food, travel and, above all else, stories.
