Anthony Anderson Sexual Assault Case Presented to D.A.

By TheBlast Staff

The investigation into Anthony Anderson over allegations of sexual assault has wrapped up, and now it's up to the District Attorney to decide whether the Emmy nominated actor will be charged with a crime.

According to the Los Angeles District Attorney, Anderson's case was presented for consideration of charges Wednesday by the LAPD and currently remains under review.

The Blast broke the story, a woman reported to cops earlier this year that the "Black-ish" star sexually assaulted her last year after she catered an event he threw. The alleged incident happened during a second meeting to discuss future business opportunities.

Anderson denies the allegations, and a spokesperson for the actor originally told us, "It’s unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false. The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter."

The actor has had similar accusations levied against him in the past. Back in 2004 he was accused of raping a woman on the set of "Hustle & Flow," but that case was later dismissed.

A presentation of a case to the District Attorney does not mean Anderson will be charged. Along with his case, the D.A. was also presented with sexual assault cases involving Harvey Weinstein and Stevan Seagal.

Weinstein has five other cases under review with the D.A.
