According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a lawyer for Jolie alleged that Pitt "has a duty to pay child support. As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation."
The two-page brief, filed by attorney Samantha Bley DeJean, went on to say that the informal arrangement for support between Jolie and Pitt has resulted in "the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half."
Jolie intends to file a request for "the establishment of a retroactive child support order."
The news of the filing was first reported by NBC News.
In addition, Jolie is looking to schedule a hearing for sometime in 2018 to declare Pitt and Jolie legally single, even as they continue to work out the details of their split.
This is just the latest in what has become an increasingly hostile battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
As The Blast first reported, Jolie was put on notice by the court in June after it was determined Jolie was not helping to foster a relationship between Pitt and their children.
The court makes it clear to the former “Tomb Raider” star: “If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt].”
