Angelina Jolie Continues Humanitarian Work After Secret Meeting with Brad Pitt

From Beverly Hills to Bangladesh, Angelina Jolie is keeping busy.

Jolie traveled to South Asia and was seen Thursday in Bangladesh as she visited the Kutupalong refugee camp in Cox’s bazar. Throughout her three-day visit, the star is expected to visit refugee settlements, which are home to thousands of Rohingya Muslims.

Jolie said she was “humbled and proud” to visit the camp, and will be assessing the needs of the refugees and the challenges Bangladesh faces as it hosts them. Her visit was on behalf of the UNHCR, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The refugees fled brutal military violence in the neighboring state of Myanmar, as the government there carried out mass killings in the defenseless villages.

“I urge the Myanmar authorities to show the genuine commitment needed to end the cycle of violence, displacement, and improve conditions for all communities in Rakhine state, including the Rohingya,” Jolie told the crowd.

Days earlier, Jolie was seen in Beverly Hills during a heated discussion with Brad Pitt as the two continued hashing out details in their divorce.
