Amy Schumer has been forced to cancel a comedy show in Texas after she was hospitalized with severe nausea related to her pregnancy, and it turns out there is a royal connection to her condition.
The comedian took to Instagram and let all her fans know that she is in the hospital, but her and the baby are both fine. She says, "everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story," adding, "I've been even more ill this trimester."
Schumer says she has hyperemesis, which is severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Kate Middleton famously suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during her 1st and 3rd pregnancies, and ended up in the hospital both times.
The Duchess of Cambridge was also forced to pull out of scheduled events during that time, so it's no surprise Schumer was sidelined now that she's dealing with the same pregnancy issues.
The comedian says she's "Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullshit!" She also thanked the doctors and nurses for taking care of her, and her dog.
She plans on rescheduling the canceled shows.
