Amal Clooney, Jennifer Lawrence, and Jim Carrey have one big thing in common this week: they’re three of our favorite style stars! Here is who else made the cut.
She’s accomplished, she’s brilliant and she’s gorgeous. As if Amal Clooney couldn’t impress us any more, the human rights attorney walked the red carpet alongside her husband in the most ethereal gown. The silk, lavender Atelier Versace number was striking on the new mother. We think George will forgive us for cropping him out this one time.
Jennifer Lawrence is rocking the red carpet in Venice with some incredible gowns, but her dressed down style has us floored. Bonjourno, Italian-casual!
The cropped pants paired with killer stilettos make the look fun, not stuffy. Also, we’re dying over those sunnies. And her fluffy blowout. And her statement necklace. Really the whole look.
Sometimes, the red carpet can be tough for guys trying to reinvent a classic suit. Jim Carrey took a major fashion risk by donning a pewter hued metallic tux with dark blue boots and the risk paid off. Clearly, the actor has fun with his style, but the key to making this look sing is the impeccable tailoring. Dare we say it fits him … like a glove?
The bolder the better when it comes to Reese Witherspoon’s style. The Oscar winner always looks incredible in bright tones. Sporting a red top, denim skirt, and wedges, Reese spent the day shopping in Beverly Hills which gave us some major Elle Woods flashbacks.
Winnie Harlow channeled old Hollywood with her luxurious side-swept waves and silver beaded gown at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. The textured dress features an impossibly high slit and some metal hardware that helped make the look a little edgier.
We’ve known since her “Scarface” days that Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the most beautiful people alive and that’s still 100% true. The actress wore a black and gold metallic Michael Kors column gown on the red carpet and looked every bit the movie star that she is.
There is nothing about this beaded empire waist Valentino gown that we don’t adore. It’s a good thing Julianne Moore is so spectacular because a lesser mortal would be dwarfed by the intricacies of this dress. The contrasting color and textures, the plunging neckline and the almost apron-like front bodice are almost too much to handle. Almost.
It ain’t easy to zhoosh up an LBD. Maggie Gyllenhaal did the seemingly impossible by making what would otherwise be a standard little black dress a piece of art. The subtle addition of strategically placed zippers, midi length and dramatic skirt pair perfectly with a pair of bronze velvet pumps.
She wears her sunglasses at night. Susan Sarandon had some fun on the red carpet in Venice throwing on some dark sunglasses. Whether they are on or off, we’re obsessing over the vintage hair and absolute bombshell silhouette of this Hugo Boss gown.
