The guy who allegedly got punched by Adrien Broner now plans to fight the professional boxer in court.

According to a lawsuit obtained by The Blast, Carlos Gonzalez claims he was just walking down the street in Las Vegas on September 8, 2017 when Broner “shoulder checked him.”

Gonzalez claims he turned around to see who bumped into him and that’s when Broner “unexpectedly punched [Gonzalez] in the face with a closed fist.” He says he was “seriously injured” by the punch and incurred medical expenses as a result of the blow.

Gonzalez is suing for damages in excess of $15,000.

Broner was detained by police when the incident happened and ultimately cited for misdemeanor battery. He was later charged and the case is ongoing.
