The woman who sued Adrien Broner claiming sexual battery has now dropped her lawsuit against the boxer.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the woman dismissed her lawsuit without prejudice, meaning she can refile her claims in the future. Broner had yet to respond to the allegations in the complaint and is still dealing with the criminal aspect related to the alleged sexual battery.
Back in February, Broner was arrested for misdemeanor sexual battery following an alleged incident at the Lenox Square mall in Atlanta.
Atlanta Police told us at the time a woman claimed she had been inappropriately groped by a man that was later identified to be Broner. Police say Broner denied the allegations but after interviewing both sides, they decided there was enough to arrest him.
Broner was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery and transported to Fulton County Jail.
He would later plead not guilty to the charges and that case is still pending.
The alleged victim sued Broner the month after he was arrested. She claimed to have suffered emotional distress and sued for unspecified damages.
