Carter first mentioned the September 5 accident on his social media, saying he broke his nose in the "severe" accident after his airbags deployed.

The report says Carter slammed into the back of a car because he was following too closely and did not anticipate the other car stopping at a stop sign.

It also notes his car was towed at the scene, but he was not transported to the hospital.
