The slap that rocked Chris Rock and the Academy, continues to reverberate around the world.

New footage showed Jada Pinkett-Smith smirking when her husband socked Chris Rock.

There’s also some confusion about whether Will Smith refused to leave the venue when the Academy officials asked him to.

Academy Award producer Will Packer will be soon on "Good Morning America" with T.J. Holmes to discuss the same and he’s revealed some snippets.

According to Packer, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was not only at the scene, backstage, on Sunday night, but they were also willing to do whatever was needed.

Packer said the LAPD told Rock, “‘this is battery’, was a word they used in that moment. They said, 'We will go get him.’”

Later, LAPD also issued a statement saying, “The individual involved has declined to file a police report.”

Packer stated that when the LAPD officers finished laying out what Rock’s options were, he refused to press charges.

Chris Rock revealed in one of his recent shows that he’s still processing the incident and will talk about, but later.
