Keep reading below for more information.
Ryan Reynolds GQ Interview Of His Twin Brother
Fans were first introduced to Reynolds’s “twin brother” named Gordon in an interview with GQ magazine after the actor was awarded the GQ Man of the year award.
During the interview, Gordon and Reynolds are seated opposite each other but Gordon is not real, he is simply an effect that was created with the help of clever editing and camera tricks.

The special effects of the video made the twin concept look very convincing as there was even a special guest in the form of Jake Gyllenhaal who helped to sell the ruse by working as the operator of the boom microphone.
In reality, Reynolds simply roasted himself for the fun of it and for the viewing pleasure of his fans. After all, being able to make jokes about yourself is comedy gold.
Other Instances When ‘Gordon’ Made An Appearance
Apart from his appearance on the GQ interview, Gordon has also made several appearances.
In 2018, he came back to promote the Reynolds Aviation Gin brand in a chat posted on his Youtube channel. In this chat, he also spoke with his twin, about Deadpool 2, and Fathers Day, teasing him with sarcastic comments and lots of snickering.
In another video also posted on the Youtube channel, the different personalities of Reynolds and Gordon are highlighted with the video showing Gordon grilling his twin about his preference for roles in movies that require body-switching and his marriage to Lively.
These videos and more are part of what have now convinced many fans of the actor that Gordon is real and that he is indeed the lovely twin brother of the iconic actor.
Kate Beckinsale On Being Reynolds Doppelganger
Apart from everyone’s favorite Reynold twin, there is another celebrity who believes she and Reynold are relations of some sort. This is Kate Beckinsale, a popular English actress who has made several jokes about how she has a remarkable resemblance to Reynolds.
She spoke about this in an interview on “Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” where she highlighted some of the physical similarities she shares with the “Deadpool” actor and told the host, “I look exactly like Ryan Reynolds.
Like in a shocking way. Like sometimes I see a bus going by with a poster on and I think, ‘Damn, I look hot. Wait, it’s not me.”
During another interview with Hoda Kotb, Reynolds made a response to the statements made by Beckinsale, saying that it was like looking in a mirror. According to the actor, it’s a fact that he has heard for a long time and that many others have said to him. However, he and Beckinsale have only had the opportunity to meet once. LOL!
Does Ryan Reynolds Have Actual Siblings?
While many fans have been saddened by the fact that Gordon is not real, there is still hope of experiencing more of that Reynolds family goodness as the actor has not one, but three brothers.
He is the youngest of four siblings, who are all boys. His siblings are Jeffrey, who is a police officer, Terry, a mountie based in British Columbia, and Patrick, who is described as a jack of all trades and one with an affinity for creativity.

Reynolds has spoken regularly about his experience growing up with three older brothers, joking that it was an intense experience that helped him to develop survival skills from a young age.
He has also credited them for helping him in his preparations for his role in the hit movie “Deadpool.”
Unfortunately, none of his siblings are in the entertainment industry, so fans might not get the opportunity to see any of the other Reynolds brothers on screen.
