Elon Musk & Grimes Split Up One Year After Welcoming A Son Together

The former couple was together for three years and welcomed a baby boy into the world last year.
Musk confirmed that he and Grimes are “semi-separated” but remain on good terms and continue to co-parent their 1-year-old son, named X Æ A-Xii Musk.
“We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms,” Musk told Page Six.
Musk attributes the break to work.
“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room,” he told the outlet.
Single & Ready To Mingle?
Musk and Grimes began dating in 2018. They welcomed their son, X Æ A-Xii Musk, in 2020.
Musk has five children prior to Grimes.
He shares custody of his other five sons with his former wife, Justine Wilson.
According to reports Musk and Grimes have split, but continue to co-parent their son.
Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, revealed her son doesn’t call her mom. Rather she has taught him to call her by her first name, Claire.
"Being a mother feels weird to say. For some reason, I don’t identify with that word," she said in a Vogue video documenting her getting ready for Monday's Met Gala.

"He says Claire, but he doesn’t say Mama," she revealed.
Her nickname for her child is ‘X.’
She continued to explain why her son calls her ‘Claire.’
"Maybe he like, can sense my distaste for the word 'mother.' Which, I don’t even know why I have a distaste for it, because I respect… I just can’t identify with it, weirdly," she said.
Musk and Grimes were last seen ‘together’ at the Met Gala on September 13; however, they did not walk the red carpet together.

According to reports, they met up ‘inside.’
Musk threw an exclusive party at Zero Bond, and his then-girlfriend was seen at the party.
