Coco Austin Criticized For Letting Daughter, Chanel, Get Acrylic Nails

Can Coco Austin do anything right lately? The mom of one is being slammed online again for sharing another controversial moment with her  5-year-old daughter, Chanel.

To celebrate her little girl’s school picture day, the reality star got her some tips. Like, acrylic tips. She showed off the “grown-up” look on Instagram with a photo of her little one smiling big and displaying her new set. Take a look here

“School Picture day!! For the special occasion, I let Chanel do mini tips to her nails.. I love doing her hair.. my little doll baby is what I call her.... @babychanelnicole”

The backlash was almost instantaneous and shockingly enough, the comments were mixed. One side believed that Austin was out of her mind letting Chanel go to school and run around with sharp acrylics.

Others also didn’t agree but still thought everyone else should “keep quiet” about her parenting choices. “Y’all are so judgmental! Worry about your own children and lives. This little girl is well taken care of, loved, and blessed. Y’all go somewhere with all that negativity,” quipped one follower.

Another pointed out that this is strike two. “A five-year-old breastfed with acrylic tips.... ?,” they wrote bringing up the breastfeeding drama. In August, the former Coco Loves Ice star shared that she still breastfeeds Chanel who, again, is five years old.

“I’m [not] going to stop because I feel like it’s a great bonding experience between her and I,” said Austin. This rubbed a lot of people the wrong way but she wasn’t concerned. “She’s my only child, it’s not like I have a big family of kids, and so I’m savoring every moment with this child.”

She also made sure to point out that she didn’t plan on breastfeeding a five-year-old, in fact, she wasn’t even sure if she was going to breastfeed seeing as it doesn’t just automatically happen for every mother.

“I always thought I wasn’t going to go on and on with this breastfeeding thing,” she admitted “I thought I would stop more like around one. Then I loved it too much, and I’m like, ‘I feel like I’m wanted... like she wants me.’ I think a lot of mothers would understand.”

Her husband, former rapper Ice-T also thought there was nothing wrong with it but he chose to say it in a more crude way. “News Flash! We feed Chanel FOOD.” He then added, “She just likes to suck mom's boob every now and then… Me Too!!!” he wrote on Twitter.

As for the haters, Austin is too busy taking care of her kid to respond but the conversation is quite lively. “Tips for a 5 year old, but you still breastfeed her, come on .......just ridiculous,” wrote one follower another reminded people that it’s best to not comment.

“Just here to remind everyone it cost $0.00 to mind ya damn business if you don’t agree with someone else’s parenting lifestyle.”
