Jason Derulo & Jena Frumes Call It Quits After Birth Of Son

Singer Jason Derulo and girlfriend Jena Frumes have broken up. The shocking move comes four short months after Frumes gave birth to the couple's first child, Jason King Derulo. The 32-year-old shared the news with his followers today.

“Jena and I have decided to part ways,” he tweeted. “She is an amazing mother, but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be.” He ended the straight-to-the-point post with, “Pls respect our privacy in this time.”

Frumes, 28 is yet to comment on the breakup but it was only a short time ago that she dedicated a heartfelt post to Derulo who happens to share the same birth date with her. “Blessed to share the same day of birth with my lover. You are the most handsome, hardworking, talented, silly, loving human ever,” wrote the IG model in a now-deleted post.

She shared a few snaps of the couple enjoying a vacation in Aspen, Colorado. “You truly make me whole and I'm so grateful for the love we share. You and our mini make me the happiest girl in the world and I can't wait to make more memories with you guys.”

Going from this to a breakup is weird and fans are begging to know what in the world happened between these two.

The couple met in 2020 and quickly made things official. They quarantined together and became social media mavens with their cute couple posts. Derulo even broke a few records on TikTok. The couple announced they were expecting and subsequently announced their son’s birth on May 8.

They have decided not to share photographs of the Jr.’s face but Frumes cannot help but gush about her little one from time to time. "My baby is beautiful & 100% healthy but at this time my baby is brand new to the world I refuse to let the negative energy of social media mess with my families [sic] energy,"

She went on to share that she will share him when she believes it is the right time, if that time ever comes that is.

While Frumes has taken the time to remove the more heartfelt posts regarding Derulo she has still kept other photos of the “Jalebi Baby” singer. the 28-year-old probably isn’t ready to completely let go or better yet, she doesn’t want to look like one of those girls.

Derulo’s 3.7 million followers are confused about what happened between the couple. They are commenting “WTF”, and “wow that was out of nowhere”.  Some people are choosing to believe that the singer was “hacked” because there is “no way he would leave”

If the singer was hacked, he is yet to make any attempt to correct the breakup news. As for Frumes, most of her content is dedicated to Baby Jason so it’s not unlike her to avoid the topic. It is safe to say, the breakup is official, but people have hacked social media accounts to post less interesting news. Only time will tell.
