Billie Eilish Says People Are Scared Of 'Boobs', Reveals She Lost Followers After Debuting Sultry New Look

Billie Eilish is never one to shy away from speaking her mind and debuting drastic new looks.

Earlier this year before dropping her second studio album, “Happier Than Ever,” Billie teased fans with an entirely new look.

She ditched the green roots and jet-black hair for blonde ‘do with bangs.

The look was softer and had hints of ‘Old Hollywood’ which was a far cry from her edgy “Bad Guy” era.

Not only did her hairstyle change, but her wardrobe changed as well.

Gone were the days of oversized, baggy t-shirts and shorts.

Billie came out with a bang and debuted her body in a way she has never done before.

Back in May, Billie was on the cover of British Vogue where she wore a rose-pink corset, patent leather see-through skirt with patent leather gloves.

This was the most “uncovered” fans had seen Billie!

Other photos from her cover shoot showed the singer in multiple stylish corsets, lace and thigh high stockings.

While a majority of her fans were ranting and raving about the new look, others were not so fond of how much skin she was exposing.

Billie revealed to Elle magazine that her new look caused her to lose thousands of followers on Instagram.

"People hold on to these memories and have an attachment. But it's very dehumanizing. I lost 100,000 followers just because of the boobs. People are scared of big boobs," she said with a laugh. "... You're not even supposed to really know who you are until you're at least my age or older."

In addition to opening up about losing followers, she also noted that they can’t seem to let go of the “green-haired Billie.”

When opening up about her decision to switch up her hair color she told the outlet, “I had no goal of 'This is going to make everybody think differently of me.' I've had different-colored hair and vibes for everything I've ever done. I wanted this album to have its own thing," she explained. "The other day, I posted a video from when I had green hair, and I saw people go, 'I miss this Billie, the green-haired Billie.' I'm still the same person. I'm not just different Barbies with different heads."

The 19-year-old Grammy winner has been very open about her body, the backlash she received before debuting this new look and how her body confidence has dwindled as she’s gotten older.

During an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the “Bad Guy” singer discussed how as she’s gotten older, she’s struggled to maintain her confidence. This has also played a role in her career, where she revealed that “it’s not fun right now.”

Earlier this summer, the songstress opened up to The Guardian about how she has to “disassociate” with ideas she has of her body.

"When I'm on stage, I have to disassociate from the ideas I have of my body,” Billie said. “Especially because I wear clothes that are bigger and easier to move in without showing everything – they can be really unflattering."

She continued, “Because I have such a terrible relationship with my body, like you would not believe, so I just have to disassociate… Then you get a paparazzi picture taken when you were running to the door and had just put anything on, and didn’t know the picture’s being taken, and you just look how you look, and everyone’s like, ‘Fat!’”

In May 2020, Billie debuted a short film titled, “Not My Responsibility.”

The video starts off with Billie asking a series of questions about how the public perceives her, starting with QUOTE, “Do you know me? Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker? Softer? Taller? Would you like me to be quiet? Do my shoulders provoke you?”

Billie continued her statement by saying, “We make assumptions about people based on their size. We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth.”

“If I wear more, if I wear less — who decides what that makes me? What that means? Is my value based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?” she exclaimed.
